Make is delighted to be the chosen digital partner for the team’s 2018/19 season.
The FIA Formula E Championship is the world’s first fully-electric racing series and, much like Envision Virgin Racing, is growing fast. Formula E brings street racing to some of the world’s leading cities, competing against the backdrop of iconic skylines, such as New York, Hong Kong, Paris and Rome.
We were approached to redesign and develop a new website and media press centre, and shape Virgin Racing’s social media accounts. Social media is an integral part of the Formula E engineering garage that travels to each international race destination.
We wanted to design a website that reflected the fast pace of the sport. We had two brands that we wanted to represent and be the voice for: Virgin and Envision, who are the team’s new owner for the upcoming season.
We produced a fan website, as well as a media and press portal.
Having worked with several large sports organisations over the past 5 years, we were well prepared to deal with the tight deadlines an up-coming season brings, not to mention the new sponsorship deals that are governed by their own set of guidelines.
We worked closely with the Envision Virgin Racing marketing team to ensure everything stayed on-track, on-brand and within the tight deadlines to hit the launch event at Silverstone.
The Envision Virgin Racing team were extremely happy with our work. In fact, the entire project has been such a success, that we’re already planning phase 2.
