Kicking-off World Cup 2018

There is always electricity in the air when it’s World Cup year.

The build-up, the hype, the work sweepstake, the odds, the sticker collections… everything culminates into a tournament of 32 teams fighting it out over four weeks to become the greatest in the world.

Sports and technology have always gone hand in hand and this year is no different. The tournament is set to see 47% of 16-64 year olds in Europe* tune in online or on TV, compared to 25% tuning into the Premier League, and with technology and social media playing a bigger part than ever, the opportunities this presents the digital industry is exciting.

Here at Make, we’ve been busy preparing new digital products for several industry leading partners during the run-up to World Cup 2018. From bet tipping platforms, digital data infographics, specialised World Cup SEO strategies and microsites, it’s fair to say we’ve had a busy few months.
